By the end of the day, my foundation is blotchy and my face is shiny?

I put my foundation on, and some powder over it in the morning. It looks great for a while, but when I get home, it's a disaster. My face gets really shiny and my foundation looks blotchy. I don't even have oily skin, so I can't explain the shine. And as for the blotches.. it looks like I'm wearing foundation on some spots, and some spots I'm not. Whyy does this happen? Like I said, I don't have oily skin. I use the Acne-Free System twice a day. I take really good care of my skin. It's not really hot where I live, so heat isn't really a factor.

The foundation I use is L'Oreal True Match- I apply it with a foundation brush, because it gives a really even application. Then I apply NYC Smooth Skin Loose Powder with a kabuki brush. It looks good after I do it, but when I get home... ugh. How can I keep this from happening? I don't think it's the foundation or powder I use, because this happened to me with my other foundation too. Would a primer help? The blotting sheets are a good idea- I always thought they'd take your makeup off. Thanks. Anyone else?

I have the exact same problem! I hate reapplying my makeup during the day, so when I can I use Clean and Clear oil blotting sheets. They take away all of the shine, without taking your makeup off. I switched to a mousse foundation a while ago, and that helps a lot. Bloom has a great one, and so does Neutrogena.
