If you go to www.thebodyshop.com They have something called Seaweed cleanser. It balances skin tone and clarifies complexion. You would need cleanser, toner, and a moisturizer. You don't have to get day and night just as long as you have one. The body shop is awesome. It is all natural product and they participate in community trade to help people in other countries. I love the body shop. Tell me what you think. I hope this helped. Good Luck and Happy Thanksgiving.

Answer

heey, wow that really sucks, you poor thing...i don't think i'd last. most schools have rules like that but don't enforce them. maybe try a good pre-foundation skin primer and then apply your foundation. skin primers are really good and they allow your foundation and other make-up to just glide over your skin, which will get rid off those dry flaky bits that sometimes appear after your make-up is on. you could also try mineral foundation, which looks really natural. i also hear trublend is really good and you can't see it even close up. you could paint your nails with a light pink and clear nail polish on top or a french manicure, but make sure your nails aren't too long. you can get acrylics as well (once again not too long). they look nice and clean. or you could always just go clear with glitter, or without. the nose piercing...you could always just take it out at school and wear it once you get home or leave school. you can also purchase small clear studs that aren't very noticeable at all. if you can't find those, and you don't want to leave it out, then make sure you are wearing a small less noticeable stud. hope this helps and good luck with all this and your new school =)

i would give it a week...but dont panic - as long as shes breathing normally and no fever she'll be fine. My hubby broke out in a rash last week, not sure what it was but he was out in the garden before the rash. There is lots of new $hit in the air with this dry weather - lots of new bugs and grasses to cause allergies.

What is wrong with my skin (long rant)?

Ok, so I'm a 24 y/o male, and I have this horrible skin condition. People tell me its called 'rosacea' but personally, I've never seen or even heard of a person with my same problem. At times, my face becomes a hideous, very bright shade of red. Its mostly on my cheeks and a little on my neck, its very blotchy and completely asymmetrical. I never even had this problem til a few years ago, it kind of just sprang up out of nowhere. At first I thought it only happened when I drank, so I've stopped drinking, which totally sucks by the way, since I used to really love drinking socially with my friends, now I have to lie and make up excuses to not go out and have fun.

Other things that always set it off include sweating profusely, shaving, stress, nervousness, and anger. In fact, the only times its not a problem is when im at home by myself, but if im with someone (especially if its a girl) or if im out in public, I glow bright red, and I can see people looking at it and it really freaks me out and kind of makes me panic sometimes. Anyways, sorry for the long rant, but I need a way to get rid of this, permanently if possible. I know I need to see a dermatologist, but I dont even have medical insurance. What should I do? Yeah, I've googled rosacea before and the pictures I see look nothing like what I have. My condition doesnt seem to be acne-related. I dont have pimples, and my face isnt bumpy, its just red.

It seems I'm allergic to school - literally?

The past two days (Monday + Wednesday, as we had Tuesday off) that I've gone to school, I've come home with red blotchy skin, covering my arms and legs, that itches like a b*tch. Even using Benedryl, hasn't helped that much. =[ It's now starting to spread, to other parts of my body. I've missed a lot of school so far (about six days of absentees and--plus two days I was there that I participated in a peer-leadership training program), so I'd hate to miss more school. I just couldn't stand the idea of sitting through classes, unable to focus because of the pain caused from the itchiness in my arms and legs.

It's only me who has had the reaction.

Answer

Do you have the rash only at school or does it occur at home too? If only at school, there could be something that you are contacting that you are allergic too. Maybe the chemicals that the janitors use to clean the school. Maybe you need to go to a dermatologist and see what they can do to help. I would hate to go to school too if I had a rash like that.

Answer

It is possible that it has nothing to do with the steroid, it could be what they call postinflammatory hyperpigmentation. What that means is, many times when a person has trauma to the skin, a rash, even a bug bit, or in the baby's case, and eczema outbreak, that after the skin heals it sometimes has a darker or different pigment color than the rest of the skin. If there was a large outbreak, you will see the skin pigment is different in many areas. It is not anything to worry about, in fact, it is quite normal that the skin does that. Usually there is no treatment, especially in a baby. The skin will eventually return to normal over the course of time. Here is some info from the internet: Postinflammatory hyperpigmentation What is postinflammatory hyperpigmentation? Postinflammatory hyperpigmentation is a discolouration that is left on the skin after an underlying skin disease has healed. These underlying conditions include: skin infections allergic reactions mechanical injuries reactions to medications phototoxic eruptions trauma (e.g. burns) inflammatory reactions (e.g. acne, dermatitis, lichen planus). The postinflammatory hyperpigmented lesions are located at the site of the originating disease after it has healed. The lesions range from light brown to black in colour. Usually, hyperpigmentation will gradually lessen over time and normal skin colour will return. However, this is a long process that may take up to 6-12 months or longer.

I'm the exact opposite of that! I can't wear the liquid stuff. But my sister is the same as you, so I just asked her what she uses. Almay is awesome for any kind of make up, even though it's slightly more expensive. You can get it at CVS or anything like that. Surprisingly, cheap stuff like Wet n Wild and NYC are actually pretty good, too. And they're only like, $2, so you might as well try them out.

I'd like some advice?

I am here because I am worried. I am a 21 year old male who is concerned with his health. My girlfriend was recently sexually assaulted and the assailant used a condom. The only part of the rape that was unprotected was oral. 4 days after the rape she decided she wanted to continue our sex life, she didn't want it affecting our relationship. She has been assaulted before and not the "average girl". She performed oral sex on me and immediately afterwards (literally 1 second) I had some burning in my urethra and difficulty/pain urinating, this was instant. I also instantly developed a ring around the head of my penis glands (they are swollen around the edges and red like someone highlighted them with a marker, also raised in a very perfect line, not blotchy or anything).

I also instantly developed a ring around the head of my penis glands (they are swollen around the edges and red like someone highlighted them with a marker, also raised in a very perfect line, not blotchy or anything). The next day my scrotum started itching/burning and there was minor redness on it. I went to a hospital and had a swab and urine test done to see if I had chlamydia etc. all was negative, so were her tests. I showed the doctor the inflammation and he said it looked normal. Both he and my primary doctor over the phone told me that no STD can show symptoms that fast and that what I had didn't sound like an STD. It has been about a week since then and now my eyes are feeling odd. My right eye feels swollen but it isn't. It burns kind of like it's dry or if you get shampoo in it and clean it but it's still irritated. Both eyes are semi-affected but it's right one mainly. I'm scared that I transferred herpes to my eye or something if that's what I have and that I'll go blind. The more I think about it, the worse it gets. The skin behind my beard feels more dry and itchy, so does the skin behind my eyebrows. I have had no sores, blisters, bumps, or anything like that. My girlfriend has had 0 symptoms as well. I've read all kinds of theories about HSV 2 only affecting the mouth or preferring it and others where they say it's interchangeable and doesn't matter. I haven't had any bloodwork done, and I plan to get it. It just seems odd that if it is an STD/STI that it could spread that fast and appear that fast? Instant pain after the blow job? Instant redness on the scrotum and then a possible instant auto-inocculation with almost constant eye irritation? I can't stop searching this stuff online and looking it up, I feel like a hypochondriac and recently got over something I was very hypochondriac-like about unrelated to this. I am freaking out and I would like some advice. Thanks

Answer

I think you have self diagnosed yourself. The mind is an unbelievably powerful thing. From what you are saying, it sounds very much like this is another example of how the mind can cause actual physical symptoms. " I can't stop searching this stuff online and looking it up" "recently got over something I was very hypochondriac-like about unrelated to this." "I am freaking out" "The more I think about it, the worse it gets." "My girlfriend has had 0 symptoms" These statements support this diagnosis.

Dry, scabby, blotchy skin?

My arm is breaking out with scabs and I don't even know how they get there. Before, it would start out as just dry patches of skin and somehow, they turn into scabs over night. Usually, I would just moisturize it over a few days, and it would disappear. But now im breaking out all over and even on the other arm. A small blotch is starting to form on my leg. Is it just allergies? Or should I go get it checked? It seems like it's starting to spread too. HELP! no. .its not itchy or ANYTHING. it's just scabby... and red.
