Maybe Pepsi Contains More Caffeine Than Coffee

As long as I remember myself, I have always loved coffee. I prefer coffee from my childhood because of my beloved grandmother. She was a huge coffee drinker. At the beginning I drank coffee with milk, but now I prefer black coffee. When I was a little girl I drank about 4 pots, not cups and it did not affect my sleep.

Now all the time when I wake up in the morning and swings out of bed; I must have a cup of coffee to get up. I am sure that the caffeine initiates my wakefulness. I usually have several cups of coffee during the day and can drink two cups of coffee before I go to bed without it keeping me awake.

I did like to drink soda also. But in the last year I had some problems with my stomach and now I ?d much rather have a regular Pepsi or the bottle of none carbonated water because soda leaves the strange aftertaste. I seldom drink Pepsi in the evening but last night I had some work to do. I was hungry, so I treated myself to a pizza and got Pepsi. My usual bed time is 12:00 but not for that night. I tossed and turned all night basically sleeping off and on but never falling asleep for more than an hour. And now I am interested, it was Pepsi that kept me from sleeping or not?

Maybe Pepsi contains more caffeine than coffee?

In order to find the answer to this problem, I found the information of caffeine in coffee and Pepsi. Actually, Pepsi contains 37.5mg caffeine /12 ounces (one can) and coffee contains 80-135mg caffeine / 8 ounces (brewed). But in spite of caffeine, I think that it was probably the sugar in the Pepsi that affected me; Pepsi also has a high rate of carbonation and that is probably what gave me the energy rush. I found that wise people drink Pepsi with a couple wedges of lemon. Lemon lowers the blood pressure, so the sugar and caffeine doesn't make such an affect.

We must pay attention that coffee is the natural product and Pepsi is a "handmade" product.

Coffee is a product which has the capacity of inducing Lipolysis, the process of the breakdown of fat stored in fat cells of our body. I also have the information that drinking so much coffee will help your skin look much clearer and more moisturizing at times. In the same time, too much soda or Pepsi which has a lot of caffeine would make the skin blotchy and dried out.

So, I am positive that coffee is the product much more useful to our health than Pepsi or soda.

But we need to always follow the doctor's advice for the sake of our good health.
